The economic costs associated with food-borne illnesses in the Caribbean are ?very high? and can range anywhere from $2 million to $40 million annually in some Caribbean countries, Dr. Lisa Indar, Programme Manager for Tourism and Health Programmes, Surveillance Disease Control and Prevention, of the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) said.
